About Us:

SAHRiNGON (T) Chapter is a collaborative Human Rights NGO Network with members from different regions in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar.

The activities and actions of SAHRiNGON (T) Chapter are carried out by members through the coordination of the secretariat and supervision of the board members and Annual General Meetings.

Histalical Background:

The idea of establishing ‘The Southern Africa Human Right NGO Network was initiated in Africa to provide a platform for discussion and advocacy on challenges facing human rights and development in Africa. It was further agreed in 1998 by SAHRiNGON members to establish a SAHRiNGON Chapter in their countries.

What We Do:

SAHRiNGON (T) Chapter seeks to strengthen advocacy and human rights monitoring by working with its members and other human rights activists worldwide to provide a platform for discussion and advocacy challenges facing human rights and development in Africa.

Vision Statement

SAHRiNGON-Tanzania Chapter envisions a world in which all human rights are enjoyed fully by every one.

Mission Statement

SAHRiNGON-Tanzania Chapter exists to improve the performance of its members in the promotion and protection of human rights through capacity building, lobbying and advocacy, mobilization for collective action, coordination and monitoring implementation of human rights.

Board Members:

The Board Members are responsible for the overall functioning of the network and orienting its work and development.
